Job Well Done!
It’s hard to believe we are in our last few weeks of summer. It has undoubtedly been a hot one, which means you were faced with many challenges. Either as an owner/operator, management company, or supplier, these last several weeks have put a significant strain on our industry. The front line of complaints goes to the owner/operators and management companies who have direct contact with the tenants. If you are in the HVAC industry, keeping air conditioning units running and having parts on hand is challenging. If you work in the landscaping industry, dealing with the extreme heat and staying on task is compounded by the intense heat. Plumbers, roofers, and painters also had to deal with these extreme conditions in their own fashion. But true to the nature of the AATC membership, y’all stepped up and served your tenants well.
You may wonder: How do I know that all of you have done a great job? The Apartment Association of Tarrant County is one of the first places tenants call when they feel they are not getting satisfactory results from their landlord. At AATC, we receive hundreds of calls from tenants every month. We always direct them to the appropriate agencies for their complaints, but I like to track the volume to get an idea of how we are doing as an industry. The good news is that we haven’t seen an increase in the volume of complaints, which means you have been working hard to keep your tenants and clients happy. Of course, this is no surprise for me and the rest of the staff at AATC; we have some of the best members in the entire industry! You help make our jobs more enjoyable and make us proud to be a part of a vital industry for our community.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the staff at AATC, I would like to thank you for a job well done, and we are looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming fall and winter events.
