As we turn the page to March, I’m reminded of how incredible it is to be part of this community. February was filled with great momentum, and I’m thrilled to share the success of the FWAA/UGM Bowling Tournament sponsored by Earthworks. This event was a true highlight, and its success is a testament to the tireless work of our amazing Community Service Chairs, Stephanie Rusnak from BH Management and Danielle Keck from Rasa Floors. Their leadership and dedication made this event a fantastic experience, and we couldn’t have done it without them. A heartfelt thank you to both of you and this amazing committee!
In February, I also want to highlight that ALL our committees hit the ground RUNNING! From NextGen Mentors to Maintenance Mania (yes, it’s back and better than ever) and so much more—our members have been hard at work planning, organizing, and getting everything in place for the year ahead. If you’re not plugged into one of these committees yet, YOU DO NOT want to miss out on these incredible opportunities to make an impact, learn, and grow. There’s a place for everyone, and the energy surrounding these initiatives is contagious. Join us and be part of the action!
Looking ahead, we have two exciting events that I encourage you to mark on your calendars: the Military Golf Tournament in April and the Pickleball Tournament for NAA PAC. Both events are crucial to the success of our association, our industry, and our community. The Military Golf Tournament is an opportunity for us to show our support for our veterans and enjoy a day of friendly competition. Meanwhile, the Pickleball Tournament is vital for our continued advocacy efforts, and we must ensure that it’s a sold-out event with full sponsorship and attendance. Let’s rally behind these efforts—get your teams together, secure your sponsors, and let’s make these events a resounding success. We all need a good break before the busy summer months, and what better way than to come together for some fun and camaraderie?

As we continue to navigate 2025, I’m inspired by the words of Ted Lasso: “It’s the ones who are doing good for others that are always the ones to win in the end.” This sentiment resonates with the heart of our association: working together, doing good for others, and lifting each other up. As spring approaches, we’re all preparing for success, much like a baseball team gearing up for a season. This is our spring training, a time to hone our skills and come together as a team, ready to hit the ground running.
Don’t forget to make sure your teams are prepared with the excellent training opportunities available through FWAA. Whether it’s through our events, workshops, or networking opportunities, let’s ensure we’re all equipped to face the challenges and opportunities ahead.
