About PTSD Foundation of DFW

The PTSD Foundation of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to bringing hope and healing to veterans and their families struggling with combat-related PTSD. Founded in 2005 as a grassroots effort in Houston, the organization has expanded nationwide, providing life-changing programs and outreach services to reduce veteran suicide. In 2012, it established Camp Hope, an interim housing facility offering comprehensive support, including crisis intervention, peer-to-peer programs, and addiction recovery meetings. With outreach offices in high-risk areas and chapters in multiple states, the foundation has helped over 16,000 combat veterans and their families, transforming lives through mental, physical, and spiritual support. Over the past decade, more than 1,800 veterans have reintegrated into society, gaining employment, financial independence, and renewed purpose.

The Fort Worth Apartment Association partners with PTSD Foundation of DFW to raise money for their organization. FWAA members are proud to partners of this amazing organization, having raised over $35,000 last year alone.

With this money, PTSD Foundation of America was able to help the community in the following ways:

They were able to conduct nearly 600 veteran one-on-ones to those who needed support.
10 veterans were able to get into Camp Hope.
PTSD Foundation was also able to hire a full-time female veteran coordinator to help with the female population suffering from traumatic experiences.
